Beyond Granite: Pulling Together: Live Musical Performance of Ashon T. Crawley’s HOMEGOING

A live performance of Ashon T. Crawley’s HOMEGOING, an audiovisual memorial about the impact of the AIDS crisis that centers spirituality as a means of honoring fallen Black queer church musicians, led by the artist and Clifton Ross III (Musical Director), James Johnson (Assistant Musical Director), and Abdul Hamid Robinson-Royal (Lead Musician).

Event is open to the public, advanced registration is encouraged to receive updates. This is an all-ages, family friendly event.

Due to forecasted evening thunderstorms on Saturday, September 9, the live outdoor performance of Ashon T. Crawley’s HOMEGOING on the National Mall is being moved inside to the nearby Church of the Epiphany (1317 G St NW, Washington, DC 20005). The free concert performance is 7:30-9pm, with doors opening at 6:45pm. We encourage attendees to follow COVID precautions and guests are encouraged to wear masks for this indoor performance as they see fit.
